Using charcoal, ink, water color, tempra paint and collage paper students studies human facial proportions in order to capture their own personalities within a self portrait. This project requires patience, panning, and persistence. Students explored playing with emphasizing positive as well as negative space. This is a challenging technique which demands students literally flip the way they think about and draw the visual world. The subject of each image was chosen by the artist, the intent of each piece is to share with the viewer a personal passion or belief.
